A stained-glass window depicting a simple cross, rendered in a symbolist visionary sacred art style.
Rendered in the tradition of Christian Symbolism & Visionary Art. Drawing on the influence of William Blake, Gustave Moreau and Odilon Redon, the piece blends recognisable visual cues with a contemporary devotional execution. The lighting is characterised by coloured shafts of light from the window onto cool grey stone, lending the work its distinctive atmosphere. The overall mood is reverent, vast and hushed. Additional details include leaded glass detail, weathered stone wall and dust motes in light.
