Request a verse or theme for custom scripture art
Tell us the verse, theme or occasion you have in mind and we will let you know honestly whether we can create a piece around it.
When the verse you love is not in the shop yet
We publish a new artwork every day, and our library has grown to well over a hundred and fifty pieces. Even so, the Bible holds more than thirty thousand verses, and the one that means most to you may not be in the shop yet. Perhaps it is the reading from your wedding, a promise that carried you through illness, or the verse a grandparent wrote inside your first Bible.
That is where a request comes in. Tell us the verse, theme or occasion you have in mind, and we will consider whether we can create a piece around it.
What you can ask for
A particular Bible verse
Give us the reference and, if you like, why it matters to you. We quote all scripture in the King James Version, so the wording will follow that translation.
A theme or symbol
You might want a piece built around the shepherd, the cross, a dove, a wheat sheaf or stained glass, or around a theme such as peace, forgiveness or homecoming.
A style
Let us know whether you are drawn to the gold and stillness of iconography, the warmth of Christian folk art, a modern abstract treatment or one of our other styles. It helps to mention a piece from the shop that you already like.
An occasion or setting
A baptism, a church anniversary, a new prayer room or a school theme for the term all shape what will work best, so tell us where the finished print will hang.
How a request works
- Send us your idea. Use the contact form and choose custom scripture art as the service. Include the verse or theme, your preferred style and any date you are working towards.
- We reply honestly. We read every request and will let you know whether it is something we can take on, how it would work and whether there is any cost, before anything is agreed.
- We create and prepare the piece. If we go ahead, the artwork is made in the same way as everything in our shop and prepared as print-ready files.
- You download and print. The finished files are supplied as a download, ready to print at home, at a print shop or through a print-on-demand service.
An honest note on how the artwork is made
Every piece we publish, including requested work, is created digitally using AI image-generation tools. The process is guided by carefully written, scripture-led prompts and by the traditions of Christian art, and each image is checked, cropped and prepared for print before it is released. We do not offer hand-painted commissions, and we would rather say so plainly than leave you guessing. Our page on how our art is made explains the process in more detail.
What we may not be able to do
We cannot promise to accept every request. Some ideas fall outside what our process does well, such as exact likenesses of real people, specific buildings or copies of personal photographs. We also keep our artwork rooted in scripture and the historic symbols of the faith, so we may gently decline requests that move away from that. Where we cannot help, we will try to suggest an existing piece that comes close.
Before you send a request
It is always worth searching the shop first. Well-known verses may already be available, and new pieces are added every day. If you find something close but not quite right, mention it in your message, because it gives us a clear starting point and helps us understand exactly what you are hoping for.
Questions about custom scripture art
Do you charge for custom scripture art requests?
Sending a request costs nothing. Once we have read your idea, we will reply to tell you whether we can take it on and how it would work, including any cost, before anything is agreed. Nothing is charged unless you decide to go ahead. If we cannot help, we will try to point you towards an existing piece in the shop that comes close.
Can you use a Bible translation other than the King James Version?
We quote all scripture in the King James Version, and that applies to requested pieces too. Its wording is familiar from generations of church services and suits the visual style of our artwork. If the verse you love is usually read in a modern translation, it is worth comparing the King James wording first to make sure it still carries the meaning you want.
Is custom artwork hand-painted?
No. Every piece we produce, including requested work, is created digitally with AI image-generation tools, guided by scripture-led prompts and traditional art-historical styles. We then check each image, crop it to exact paper sizes and prepare the print files ourselves. We are open about this because we believe you should know exactly what you are buying before you ask us for anything.
